Advanced Racking completes another metal roof project.  According to Jonathan Young, the GM for Advanced Racking, the project in the photo was located in Texas and used a combination of framed PV modules and glass on glass modules.

The system was installed on a corrugated metal roof which featured both south facing flush mounts and two north facing sections that utilized a 20 degree tilted racking system.

“I like this project because it had several challenges and we were able to bring everything together for our client.  The project demonstrates not only our product’s flexibility to accommodate different module types and roof slopes, but our Engineering Team’s ability to supply the client with a PE Stamped Design that streamlined the permitting process.”

The client could not use Advanced Racking’s glass on glass module clamp due to warranty restrictions from the module manufacturer.  “We were able to incorporate the module manufacturer’s clamp for glass on glass modules into our rail based mounting system.”  The client appreciated the diligence and our team working with the module manufacturer to ensure the warranty was maintained.

“We supplied our heavy and light rails to tailor the design to efficiently meet the span requirements of the structure.”
